Cognoa Research app for iPhone and iPad

The American Academy of Pediatrics believes that early intervention is critical for children with developmental delays. However, most children in the U.S. are diagnosed with delays such as autism after the age when treatments have the greatest opportunity for lifelong impact. Cognoa Inc. has developed diagnostic software based on machine learning technology to help healthcare providers identify children with autism as early as possible in the primary care setting.

The purpose of the CHOC/Cognoa ASD Diagnostic Device – Data Collection Study is to assess the effectiveness of Cognoa’s software to aid healthcare providers in rendering a diagnosis for Autism for children ages 18 months up to 5 years and 11 months of age. The device is intended for investigational use only. The performance characteristics of this product have not been established.
